Download Motes for Android

A direct install, not from Google Play.

The app is still being finished, so there is nothing to download yet. This button turns on by itself when it is ready: reload this page in a little while.

Install in four steps

  1. Open this page on your phone and tap Download Motes for Android. If the browser warns about APK files, choose Download anyway.
  2. Open the downloaded file. Android asks to allow installs from your browser: allow it just for this, then tap Install. If Play Protect does not know the app, choose More details, then Install anyway.
  3. Open Motes. Scan the pairing QR code, or tap Open in Motes on this page when you have a code.
  4. Allow notifications so Motes can reach you. In Settings you can stay connected, pick a voice, turn on “Hey Motes”, set quiet hours and choose what it may do on your phone.

Already have the app (as Moted or Omi)? It offers this update itself: Settings › Check for updates. Need a new code? In any chat, say “pair my phone”.
